Panoramic Lemosho Route

The Lemosho Route is extensively considered to be the finest route on Mount Kilimanjaro. Lemosho Route is preferred by reputable operators due to its splendor, remoteness and success rate. In short, it exploits the chances that a climber will reach the summit, and enjoy the experience overall.

  • The Lemosho route can be done in six days and five nights on the mountain. And it can be done in as little as six days and five nights on the mountain.
  • This route starts in a lush, fertile rainforest. This route is the first ecological zone you encounter on Kilimanjaro. The route across the Shira Plateau. That is used to be Kilimanjaro’s third peak before it collapsed.
  • You can explore such beautiful places such as moorland meadows, lava tower, Barranco Camp, etc.
  • This route is an enhanced version of the older Shira route. The original Shira route started much higher approximately 3600 meters and offered relatively little acclimatization. Though it was prone to inducing altitude sickness, the Shira route had been popular because of the fantastic view. Lemosho joins the older Shira route after the first day, providing the same fantastic climb with a much-improved safety profile.
  • The journey of 8 days Lemosho climb gives one of the highest success rates, rather than trying to squeeze the climb into 7 days. The extra days allow for a shorter pre-summit day, meaning that you arrive at base camp by lunchtime, fuel up with food in your tent to rest.

The route is the longest of your routes to climb the mountain, designed for those of you who have the time and want to maximize your chances of summiting.
